Our Love Story -

April 2019 - They each swiped right. On their first date, from Montaña De Oro to the Libertine in Morro Bay, Ashley spilled a full beer on Eryk, he knew at this moment she could be the one. The two spent the next three days hanging out, Eryk may or may not have called out sick…

June 2019 - Eryk asked Ashley to be his girlfriend. They go to Vegas on their first get away together. All they eat is hot dogs, chicken, waffles and denver omelettes on repeat. They adopt their first pet, a stuffed cow, named Duvey, in honor of Eryk learning what a Duvet was.

Summer 2019 - Eryk comes on the famous White family houseboat vacation and meets Ashley’s entire family all at once… the first boy to meet Ashley’s family. High pressure. Eryk took Ashley to his family lake house to meet his parents and some of his grandma, uncle and aunt. All the cards on the table and they still liked each other… some may say falling in love…

September 2019 - Ashley let an “I Love You” slip out while they were house sitting for the Burt family and Eryk so excitedly said it back. They proceeded to feed to horses, yell at Jojo and Moby, love was truly in the air.

Holidays 2019 - They spent their first holidays together with the White family in Orange County and took a trip out to stay with Eryks family in Florida for the first time since his parents moved out there. The puzzle pieces were falling in line.

February 2020 - They move into their first place together off Johnson Ave. in San Luis Obispo. Two bedrooms, two stories, two scoot scoots, the town was ours.

March 2020 - World shuts down, Ashley gets laid off, Eryk gets sent home and they were sheltered in place with each other. They really soaked up this time together and took lots of rides on their electric scooters… Enjoying the wind thru our hair, crab rangoons, and trips to Ace hardware to buy yet another indoor plant…

January 2021 - Ashley comes ripping in the door to tell Eryk that there was a grey cat at the mailbox that let her pet it and he needed to come see. Thus, entering Potato Cat in their lives, choosing them to be his home.

December 2021 - They purchased and moved into their first home in Paso Robles, CA. The perfect place to lay a foundation on their life together and begin to build a community around themselves and the Central Coast.

April 2023 - One day Eryk was working from home, when he received a text message from Ashley that was a link to a Santa Maria Humane Society for a mini Potato baby kitten. They took off work early and drove down to Santa Maria to adopt Squid, known as the slimey little oily rat cat.

August 2023 - One summer day, Ashley, once again proceeded to come ripping in the house telling Eryk that there was a tiny Siamese looking kitten, skin and bones crying at the neighbors door. She then went looking for the kitten and with Eryks approval or should we say encouragement they let her inside. Proceeding to make herself at home, eating every bit of food she could get, even Bratwurst off their plates, enter, Bonita Gordita Rosita Girlie, making that three cats. She like Potato, chose to make Ashley & Eryk her home.

December 2025 - Leading up to the holidays, Eryk finally finds the perfect ring. After several trips to Hidden Kitchen in Cayucos, to throw Ashley off his scent, he finds his way to trick Ashley into going to get waffles on a cloudy Sunday. Fumbling with the ring in his pocket, attempting to hide it, he chokes down his breakfast. On the way home, he convinces Ashley to stop. He made some excuse to get a photo and could barely make it off the main road prior to getting on one knee. And that’s what brings you here today, Eryk proposed to Ashley. Ashley said yes!
